Delete Your Account
This page explains how to request that your TruckBooks account and all associated personal data be permanently deleted. TruckBooks is operated by ThriveWorks Media LLC (Wyoming, United States) and is listed on the Google Play Store and Apple App Store as “TruckBooks.”
Before you delete: deletion is permanent. If you want a copy of your expense records, export them from the app first: Settings → Reports → Export all (Schedule C PDF and CSV).
How to request deletion
You have two ways to request that your account be deleted. Both lead to the same result.
What gets deleted
When your deletion request is processed, the following are permanently removed from our production systems and, within 30 days, from all backups:

| Support correspondence | Deleted | Emails you sent to us and our replies, once the deletion is confirmed. |
| Device data | Deleted | Offline copy on your phone is cleared when you sign out or uninstall the app. |
What we keep, and for how long
A small amount of data is retained for legal, tax, or security reasons:

| Billing & subscription records | 7 years | Required by US recordkeeping rules for business-service providers. Linked to an anonymized identifier, not to your name or email. |
| Payment processor records (Apple / Google / RevenueCat) | Per their policies | We never store full payment details. The store and the processor retain transaction records under their own policies. |
| Aggregate usage analytics | Indefinite | Anonymized counts (e.g. total active users per month). These cannot be tied back to you after deletion. |
| Legal-hold data | Until hold lifts | If your account is the subject of a subpoena or other legal request, the minimum data required to comply is retained until the hold is lifted, then deleted. |
| Security & fraud logs | Up to 90 days | Abuse-detection logs (hashed IP, user-agent, request timestamps) are kept for a rolling 90-day window to protect the Service, then overwritten. |
Timeline
- Immediately. Your account is marked for deletion; cloud-sync stops.
- Within 24 hours. Data is removed from all live production systems.
- Within 30 days. Data is removed from all encrypted backups.
Note for App Store and Google Play users
Deleting your TruckBooks account does not cancel an active App Store or Google Play subscription. To stop recurring billing, cancel the subscription in the store that processes it:
- iOS: Settings → your name → Subscriptions → TruckBooks → Cancel subscription.
- Android: Google Play app → Profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → TruckBooks → Cancel subscription.
After deletion
Once your account is deleted you can always sign up again later with the same email address — but the previous data cannot be recovered.
